Duration For Processing IELTS Registration

The processing time for IELTS registration typically takes a few days. Once you complete the online application and submit the required documents, such as a clear scan of your passport or National e-ID card, you can expect to receive a confirmation email within a short period. For online registrations, confirmation emails are usually sent immediately or within a few days after payment confirmation.

However, if you apply in person or need additional processing, it might take up to 48 hours for your application to be fully processed.

If you don’t receive your IELTS registration confirmation email, follow these steps:

  • Check Your Email Inbox and Spam Folder : Ensure the email hasn’t been filtered into your spam or junk folder.
  • Verify Email Address: Double-check that you entered the correct email address during registration. If incorrect, contact the test center to update it.
  • Resend Confirmation Email : Log in to your IELTS account and look for an option to resend the confirmation email1.
  • Contact Your Test Center : If you still don’t receive the email, reach out to your IELTS test center for assistance. They can confirm your registration and provide further help.

To register for the IELTS exam, you need to upload the following documents:

Valid International Passport: A clear, full, and unedited scan of your passport is required. Ensure it includes the full data page and the adjoining page.

National e-ID Card (for some countries): In some cases, like Nigeria, a National e-ID card with a microchip can be used instead of or alongside a passport.

Ensure that the ID document is valid and will remain valid on the test day.
